Event Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions

I declare I will be 18 years or over (15 years or over for the 2nd and 4th leg in a 4 person team) on the day of the EMF Team Relay and will abide by the laws and rules of the UKA. I declare that I will not compete in the race unless I am medically fit on the day of the race and that, in any event, I will compete at my own risk.

I accept that the organisers/sponsors/partners/marshals will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses, which may arise in consequence of my participation of the event. I hereby give my permission to GSi Events Ltd to use my name, quotes, video and photographic likeness for marketing and promotional purposes.

I understand that entry fees are non refundable, my entry can be transferred to another runner within the deadlines displayed on the website. Transfers between events are not permissible.

Macmillan Cancer Support Terms and Conditions

Macmillan Cancer Support Terms & Conditions –
• For this challenge you pledge to raise a minimum of £750 for the marathon, £750 for the team relay (per team of 4), £300 for the half marathon, £150 for the 10K or £80 for the 5K (excluding gift aid or registration fees where applicable) in sponsorship money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
• All sponsorship should be received by Macmillan Cancer Support within one month of the Challenge. All funds raised through the Challenge must be payable to Macmillan Cancer Support in £ sterling. The objective is to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
• Any existing regular donations that you may make to Macmillan do not form part of the total raised through sponsorship.
• To ensure that our guaranteed Macmillan places are used to best possible effect (as determined by Macmillan), we monitor all applications and reserve the right to revoke any places accordingly.
• You confirm that you are medically fit and that you participate in the event at your own risk. Macmillan Cancer Support will not be held responsible for injury or illness resulting from your participation.
• You understand that it is your responsibility to read any terms and conditions issued by the race organisers and to comply with these.
• You confirm you will be the minimum age on race day, as per the race organisers instructions. [If you are under 18, you confirm that you have informed a parent or guardian that you have joined Team Macmillan and are fundraising for this event.]
• You acknowledge that Macmillan Cancer Support may incur costs as a result of you joining Team Macmillan (e.g. cost of producing and sending fundraising pack/technical kit) for this challenge. The objective is to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
• Should you, for whatever reason, not take your place, all sponsorship forms and monies collected should be forwarded to Macmillan Cancer Support or returned to your sponsors.
• You have provided Macmillan information about you and consent to Macmillan using this data. We do not sell or swap your details with any third parties, but in order to carry out our work we may need to pass your details to service companies authorised to act on our behalf.
• We will keep your details on our database so we can provide you with the best possible support every time you contact us.
• All participants, supporters and spectators, including friends and families who choose to attend the event confirm that they are happy for their names, video footage, photographs taken of them during the event to be used to publicise the event by Macmillan Cancer Support and its trading companies (Macmillan Cancer Support Trading Ltd and Macmillan Cancer Support Sales Ltd) for commercial and fundraising purposes including, but not limited to marketing material, television broadcasts, social media, advertising, publications, and other documents or mediums that may be made available to the public. Photographs of children will not be used in this manner without express written consent; unless the images are incidental, for example, children’s images at the starting line. For further information about how we collect and use personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
• By submitting this form you consent to us using your details to provide you with information about the event you are entering.
• There are many simple, inspiring and fun things we can do to make sure no one faces cancer alone. By submitting this form you consent to us further contacting you via email, text, phone and post with information about our services and other ways you can help, including ways to volunteer, take part in research, how you can donate to us and how you can get involved in our activities including fundraising. • We will use the details of under 18s to fulfil this request only.
• Any complaints should be communicated to the Macmillan representative on the challenge, or, if that is not possible, then in writing to the Macmillan Cancer Support office as soon as possible after the event.
