Epilepsy is a common serious neurological condition that affects 55,000 people in Scotland. We are here for anyone with the condition, their families, carers and employers. We campaign for improved healthcare and an end to stigma, we influence policies that will affect the health, educational and social welfare of people with epilepsy and we provide quality information, support and award-winning services.
Epilepsy Scotland works with people living with epilepsy to ensure that their voice is heard.
We believe that people living with epilepsy have a right to:
be free from stigma and discrimination
have access to high quality medical, social, educational, support and information services
be valued and included in society
determine their own way of life
We fight discrimination and stigma experienced by people with epilepsy
We influence public policy to achieve best practice for people living with epilepsy
We work to ensure that appropriate services and support are available
We sustain an effective, supportive and financially secure organisation

The entry fee helps cover some of the entry cost into the race, meaning more of the money you raise comes directly to us. We will support you each step of the way with your fundraising and send out a step by step guide with ideas of how to raise sponsorship and an Epilepsy Scotland T-shirt.
You might have already signed up but we would still love for you to join #TeamEpilepsyScotland! Email us on [email protected] and we can send you a fundraising pack and t-shirt. There is no minimum sponsorship if you have self-entered, but we will support you each step of the way with your fundraising! You can also pledge to fundraise for Epilepsy Scotland via your My Details account.
You can also purchase your own entry from the EMF website and still choose to raise funds for Epilepsy Scotland. As you will be paying your own entry fee, we do not set a minimum sponsorship amount. Email us on [email protected] and we can send you a fundraising pack and t-shirt. We will support you each step of the way! You can also pledge to fundraise for Epilepsy Scotland via your My Details account.
We can't wait for you to join #TeamEpilepsyScotland
By taking a charity place and paying your entry fee you have agreed that you will raise the minimum fundraising target for your race.
You can only apply to one Affiliate Charity at a time. For further information on how the Charity Entry process works please see our FAQs.
