Help end domestic abuse in Scotland
Scottish Women’s Aid is the lead organisation in Scotland working to end domestic abuse. We are both a women’s rights and a children’s rights organisation.
We work to tackle the root causes of abuse, improve responses to survivors, and make women and children safer.
Your support helps us to:
- Ensure help is always available. We run Scotland’s 24-Hour Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline and support a network of specialist local Women’s Aid services that provide refuge, advocacy and direct support to women and children affected by domestic abuse
- Drive change at a national level. We campaign to governments, institutions and decision-makers for laws and policies that address women’s inequality and improve how Scotland responds to domestic abuse. This helps women and children become safer and rebuild their lives.
- Improve how survivors are treated. We provide training to public and private bodies so they understand domestic abuse and respond in ways that reduce trauma and increase survivor safety.
- Raise awareness and challenge attitudes. We work nationally and internationally to ensure domestic abuse is recognised as the serious human rights issue that it is.
Every donation helps build a Scotland where women and children can live free from abuse.
