Scottish Registered Charity When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission:
“To grant the wishes of children aged 4-16 who live with a life threatening illness”.
When you register with us, you will receive a When You Wish Upon A Star running top and a fundraising support pack.
Edinburgh Marathon Festival fundraising targets 2025 *
CHARITY WISH PLACES
· Full Marathon: Registration donation £50. Fundraising target of £650
· Half Marathon: Registration £30. Fundraising target of £300
· Hairy Haggis Team Relay:
· Registration donation of £50 per team
· Fundraising target £600 per team
· 10k: Registration donation £15. Fundraising target of £150
· 5k: Registration donation £10. Fundraising target of £75

Wish Bear would like to ask our Mini Wish granters across all distances to raise a minimum of £35 per person to help grant magical Wishes

Why we grant a Wish
We firmly believe every child deserves to smile. The magic of Wishes is that they provide time away for our Wish children and their families, giving them something to look forward to during exceptionally difficult times in their lives. A Wish gives a child a chance of escapism from their day to day routine of hospital appointments and treatments and allows a child to put their illness on hold as they have fun with their family and make life long and precious memories together.
A Wish has the power to transform their lives, offering excitement and something to focus on.
Our children's Wishes can be anything from seeing Marvel Live in Glasgow and The Nutcracker Ballet in Edinburgh. Or trips to Lego Land, Lapland, Disney World Florida and to meet The Voice UK judges; Will I Am, Tom Jones, Olly Murs and Jennifer Hudson.
It is only with your help and generosity that we are able to continue granting Wishes for our inspirational Wish children across Scotland. Your support means the world to us and our Wish Children and their families!
